Corbridge is an attractive, historic village......dating back to Roman times, when it was the most northerly town in the Roman Empire, and a central supply base for to Hadrians Wall. As well as the deep-rooted local Roman History the stunning Northumberland Heritage Coast is only one-hour drive away. Other attractions within close proximity include Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Historic Hexham Abbey (3 miles, Beamish open air museum and Newcastle Gateshead cultural and shopping experiences. Head north up the A68 and Scotland is an hour drive away and to the west lies the beautiful Lake District. |
